Here’s how to play the cool little football game hidden in Facebook MessengerMumbai, June17(AZINS) After the two popular games on Facebook Messenger, Chess and Basketball, you can now play Football straight from your chat window as well.

To play the game, follow the steps below.

1. Make sure you have the latest/ updated version of Facebook Messenger installed.

2. Open a chat with a friend, or a group chat.

3. Send the football (soccer) emoji

4. Click on the emoji you just sent and your game will be enabled.

A report by AndroidAuthority points out that Facebook is riding the interest wave generated by Euro 2016 and Copa America Centenario 2016. Recently, the company updated its Messenger app, which will now offer an entirely new home screen when users first open it. The company’s new feature comes just a few days after Apple unveiled a host of updates to iMessage during WWDC.

Facebook mentioned in a statement, “Up until now, most inbox experiences haven’t kept up with the new ways people connect. So, we’ve been thinking about how we can make it simpler and easier to find what you want to start a conversation.”

The new home screen will now show the most recent sent and received messages at the top while favorite contacts will be place below respectively. Users will also find reminders for important events and birthdays. Now, one can send in birthday wishes with a single tap on the new Messenger home screen. Additionally, one can also search for people and groups and start a new message from the very top, as always.
