Jon Snow is dead: Kit Harington explains why he was still on sets of 'Game of Thrones'London, Apr 4(AZINS) Dialogues about Jon Snow being dead or undead have been doing the rounds for months now. But during his appearance on The Jonathon Ross Show, Kit Harington stated that he, in fact, has been telling the truth the whole time – Jon Snow IS in fact dead.

Jon Snow who was stabbed multiple times by treacherous members of the Night's Watch remained dead in the season finale of Season 5. But trailers of the upcoming Season 6 and Kit Harington being spotted at the Game of Thrones shoot location suggested that he might be alive and this caused a stir among the audience and fans of the series.

In response to this, Kit stated on the show, “I was there for about a month or two months; it was spread over a bit and I was playing a corpse," he explained. "I won't tell you how many episodes I'm lying dead but it's enough that I was out there for quite a while."

The Duchess of Cornwall herself seems to be a really huge fan of the series as she invited Harington and his brother to Wimbledon and to his surprise asked him if he was dead or alive. Guess what? He said the same thing!

"Me and my brother got invited to Wimbledon as you do and a Royal was hosting, we didn't know which Royal it was and it was the Duchess of Cornwall," he shared. "She was hosting it and we got sat with her, me and my brother. She leant over the table and said, 'Are you dead?' No word of a lie."

"It's going to be so relieving when people actually see the show and realise that I don't come back," he further added during his guest appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show.

Well, we will just have to accept what Kit says for now and keep our hopes low; dead is dead and so is Jon Snow - very dead.

Game of Thrones Season 6 will air on Star World Premier HD on April 24.
