Time to beam with joy Trekkies! The revamped version of Star Trek gets first teaser posterMar 26(AZINS) Star Trek fandom, time to energise! Because CBS has created a new teaser poster for the upcoming stand-alone series coming out in 2017.

Gene Roddenberry's baby will be revamped by Alex Kurtzman and Bryan Fuller (of Hannibal). Nicholas Meyer who directed The Wrath of Khan and The Undiscovered Country has been roped in as a writer and consulting producer with Rod Roddenberry as executive producer.

The details about the movie are still under wraps. But according to Empire magazine, CBS has created a teaser poster.

The image of the poster shows the Starfleet insignia back-lit by the interstellar vista. The caption reads, 'Star Trek. The Next Chapter... Boldly Going in 2017'

Fans will have to wait for the start of 2017 to watch the revived series. In the meanwhile, viewers can enjoy Star Trek Beyond releasing on July 22.
