Watch Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin makes history twice overMumbai, Jan 24(AZINS) The first rocket to launch, fly and land safely in November 2015 has done it again, this time reaching the outer limits of space.

The founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos launched Blue Origin back in 2000--though it has little to show for their first decade and a half--they are quickly making up for lost time by making history twice over. The company flew their New Shepard rocket for the first time in April, 2015 and correspondingly making it the first rocket to be launched and landed.

Before now, rocket would be launched with the sole purpose of delivering a payload to space and then they would either be destroyed or cast aside. Millions of dollars could be saved with a reusable rocket, making it much cheaper and practical for space exploration which could open up a whole new array of business modules like space tourism.

SpaceX founder Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin have had a healthy rivalry over twitter for a while now, both trying to outdo the other. Their recent escapades have made both companies apart of history.

Elon Musk upped the antics with SpaceX’s Falcon 9 by performing similar accomplishments. They even performed a rather daring sea-landing at Cape Canaveral after it delivered a satellite to orbit which was later botched as one of its landing gear broke-off due to weather conditions. The Falcon 9 is also almost four-times larger than the New Shepard making it much trickier to land.
