Love Aaj Kal Opens To an Excellent Response

Love Aaj Kal Opens To an Excellent Response

Love Aaj Kal has opened to an excellent response at multiplexes in most of the country. The film opened below par in the South which could be due to the release of heavyweight Magadheera in the region or possibly due to the huge Punjabi flavor of the film.

The multiplexes outside South India will show around 90% collections for the first day on huge volume which is fantastic. Delhi/NCR and Chandigarh multiplexes are recording bumper collections.

Overall the film has good reports and should emerge a winner in the long run and it could also post the best first weekend collections this year on the strength of its strong start and humungous release at multiplexes.

Love Aaj Kal Has Best Advance Of 2009

Love Aaj Kal has had the best advance booking at multiplexes this year. The film is showing on huge volume with some multiplexes giving the film 26-28 shows daily.

The business at multiplexes will be huge over the first weekend and if single screens were to show a similar response than the weekend could show record or near record business but it is likely that the single screen response will be lower.

Love Aaj Kal carries excellent pre-release reports and is expected to score heavily at multiplexes all over with no major competition for two weeks and an added advantage of Raksha Bandhan holiday on Thursday.

Yash Raj Films’ Dil Bole Hadippa has been selected for the esteemed Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) 2009 and will be presented in the prestigious Gala Presentations section of the festival as a World Premiere. The film, being produced by Aditya Chopra with Debutant director Anurag Singh, stars Shahid Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee in lead roles and releases worldwide on September 18, 2009.

And then begins a roller-coaster journey of Veera, Rohan and Veer filled with music, romance and comedy through Punjab and beyond.

The movie’s cast and crew will grace the red carpet and attend the first public screening anywhere in the world of the film, on September 13, 2009 in Toronto, Canada.

TIFF is among the top film festivals in the world and it is indeed an honor to be selected for such a screening. A publicly-attended film festival, nearly 400 films are screened at approximately 23 screens in venues across Toronto. The annual attendance at TIFF exceeds 300,000 from public and industry audiences.

Luck Opening is mixed Jashnn Disaster

Luck opened to a mixed response with single screens being strong and multiplexes on the lower side. The reports are also mixed and as its multiplex business is the lower side the film will find it difficult to be a major success but if single screens can sustain it can emerge an average earner.

Jashnn managed to gross around 2.25 cr nett in its first weekend. The producers will lose a small amount as they had sold the film to distributors around India and will have revenue from Music, Satellite and Home Video but the distributors will lose around 70% of their investments.

Short Kut dropped badly with 1.25 crore nett business in week two Its two week total is around 8 crore nett.
