Whenever a Superstar Rajinikanth flick releases, it is always an event of epic proportions and Lingaa is no different. It shows Rajinikanth looking surprisingly dapper at the age of 63 as he swaggers around in overcoats and fancy costumes. You can catch glimpses of Sonakshi Sinha and Anushka Shetty too but then again the show belongs to Rajinikanth throughout. Introduced as nothing less than the greatest being in the world, Rajinikanth smart-mouths his way through the trailer which is overall impressive, opulent and very promising. Of course it is just as cheesy as every other Rajinikanth movie but try saying that to a Thalaiva fan and you could end up in some serious troubles.
The controversial Mulleiperiyar Dam is a key element of the film and our hero plys the chief engineer of the project. Rest assured the film will be replete with interesting stunts and high-speed car chases all choreographed by ace Hollywood stuntmaster – Lee Whitaker.
The background score is by the maestro A. R. Rahman himself and going by the sheer star power involved in this project how can this film go wrong? And of course the Boss is the biggest attraction of all!
Rajiniakanth’s Lingaa has been directed by K S Ravikumar and co-stars Sonakshi Sinha, Jagapati Bapu and Anushka Shetty. It is slated to release on Rajinikanth’s birthday on the 12th of December, 2014.
