'Beats other butters': Like Army, Amul shares excitement on BTS upcoming single 'Butter'BTS or Bangtan Soneyeondan (Bullet Proof Scout Boys) is a seven-member Korean Pop group. It debuted in 2013 under Big Hit Entertainment and has gained immense popularity ever since. In 2020 the band got nominated for Grammy Awards for their song, 'Dynamite'.

They recently got featured on Amul's new topical 'Butters'. The topical features septet RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook, taking bread and butter from a plate held by the Amul girl. The caption reads, "#Amul Topical: Korean band announces single 'Butter'!" The tagline on the caricature says "Beats other butter" and "K-pop it onto bread".

This announcement was made on April 26, 2021, BTS went live for an hour. The live show was an animation of a yellow cube of butter against a yellow background, the animation was accompanied by background music which was a portmanteau of noises occurring in the kitchen. Towards the end, the butter melts into a heart-shaped blob and the video ends with the text, 'Butter'. The single is set to release on May 20, 2021. It is going to be the second song in English by the band.

After they released this clip, social media went berserk, and the Indian fans on Twitter flooded the platform with several requests for a collaboration of Amul X BTS. One fan showcased the excitement with the band members photoshopped on the Amul butter packet.
