We laughed about you dying': 'Angrezi Medium' director Homi Adajania pays heartwrenching tribute to Irrfan Khan
After fighting a battle with cancer, Irrfan Khan was back in his two feet and he shot for another movie which was Homi Adajania's 'Angrezi Medium'. Now that the actor has died of colon infection, Homi went on to recollect some special moments spent with Irrfan and paid a heartwrenching tribute to the actor on Instagram.

Stating that they laughed about Irrfan dying, Homi stated, "We laughed about you dying... in fact we often abused your “uninvited guests” .... but I didn’t think I’d feel so fuckin broken when I heard what I was expecting to hear for a while now. I am eternally grateful for walking a few steps of your journey with you. I am eternally grateful that I could call myself your friend."

The director also went on to add, "I am eternally grateful for memories stuffed with so much joy, so much laughter in such little time. You once told me how you had an inexplicable love for your craft, but didn’t want the stardom anymore. Well, you never needed to be a star my friend, because you shone brighter than anything in the universe."

Kareena Kapoor Khan, who worked in 'Angrezi Medium' only so she could work with Irrfan Khan, had also previously remembered the actor. "It was an absolute honour sir. Rest in peace," she wrote while sharing a still from the movie featuring her with Irrfan, Deepak Dobriyal and Dimple Kapadia.

Produced by Dinesh Vijan, 'Angrezi Medium' was the sequel to Irrfan Khan's 2017 release 'Hindi Medium'. The producer wished to make another film in the franchise 'Chinese Medium' if Irrfan said yes to it. Meanwhile, 'Angrezi Medium', also featuring Radhika Madan in the lead role, released in theatres for just a day before the coronavirus lockdown was announced and is now available for online streaming on Disney+Hotstar.
