Did Trisha walk out of Chiranjeevi's 'Acharya' due to Mani Ratnam's 'Ponniyin Selvan'?
Trisha Krishnan was set to reunite with Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi after 14 years with the film Acharya. The film is the Telugu remake of Malayalam hit movie Lucifer starring Mohanlal in the lead role. However, Trisha took to her Twitter page a few days back and announced that she has backed out of Acharya due to creative differences. Now, during an interaction with a daily, Chiranjeevi revealed the reason behind Trisha's exit.

The veteran actor stated, "I don’t know why she said that. I asked all my team members if anyone had said anything to upset her. Later, I got to know that she is doing the Mani Ratnam film and he needs longer schedules from her, so she couldn’t accommodate our Telugu film."

This means Trisha has left Acharya to accommodate dates for Ratnam's upcoming directorial Ponniyin Selvan. Now as per reports, Kajal Aggarwal has replaced Trisha in the film and will be starring alongside Chiranjeevi.

Meanwhile, Trisha's tweet on walking about of Acharya read as "Sometimes things turn out to be different from what was initially said and discussed. Due to creative differences, I have chosen not to be part of Chiranjeevi sirs film. Wishing the team well. To my lovely Telugu audiences-hope to see you soon in an exciting project."

Talking about Ponniyin Selvan, the film has an ensemble cast including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan reportedly in a double role, VirakVikram, Jayam Ravi among others.

On the other hand, Acharya is set to be the 152nd film of Chiranjeevi.
