Shabana Azmi was injured and getting treated for the same after her accident on Pune-Mumbai expressway on Saturday. The actress is now stable and under observation, confirmed the hospital in an official statement released by them.

“Veteran actor Shabana Azmi has been admitted at Kokilaben Ambani hospital. She is stable and under observation,” Dr. Santosh Shetty, Executive Director and CEO of the hospital said in a statement.

Prior to Kokilaben hospital, Shabana Azmi was admitted to MGM hospital. Shabana Azmi's car rammed into a truck on the expressway, injuring her nose. Javed Akhtar, who was travelling with Shabana, suffered minor injuries too.

The truck driver recently registered an FIR in Khalapur against Shabana Azmi's driver. The truck driver alleged that Shabana's driver was rash driving on the expressway which resulted in the accident.

Farhan Akhtar, Tabu, Anil Kapoor and many others paid Shabana Azmi a visit to the hospital. Many celebrities and Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter and prayed for Shabana Azmi to get well soon.
