Chiranjeevi steps into shoes of Mohanlal for Telugu remake of Prithviraj's Malayalam directorial debut 'Lucifer'
Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran made his directorial debut earlier this year with Lucifer. The film which starred Mohanlal in the leading role was an instant hit and people couldn't stop applauding it. Apart from the Malayalam superstar, Lucifer also starred Vivek Oberoi, Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, Saniya Iyappan, Saikumar, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Nyla Usha in pivotal roles. Moreover, Prithviraj also did a cameo in the film. Lucifer left people with confusion as there were several hidden meanings in the film.

Now, the movie is all set to be adapted in another language and the rights have been bagged by none other than Chiranjeevi. Yes, the megastar will be playing the leading role in the Telugu remake of the film. The film will be directed by Sukumar who helmed Ram Charan's film Rangasthalam. The flick will also be produced by Ram under his home banner Konidela Pro Company.

Earlier talking about not able to work with Prithviraj in Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, Chiranjeevi said at an event, "Prithviraj’s presence here made my day. After seeing him in Aiyya, I wanted to give him a role in Sye Raa. Unfortunately, we couldn’t cast him because he was in Spain for some other movie. We missed you."

While Prithviraj wrote about Chiranjeevi on his Instagram stating, "With #Chiranjeevi sir at the Kerala launch of #SyeraNarasimhaReddy What an absolute gem of a man! Humility and grace personified. I’m thrilled that you bought the rights to #Lucifer and will forever be sorry that I couldn’t take up your offer to be part of #SNR sir! Can’t wait for the film to release!"
