Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim starrer The Sky Is Pink has a disappointing start. The film did not open as well as expected, and while it was believed that Hrithik Roshan-Tiger Shroff's WAR was the reason, it appears that The Sky Is Pink could not hold the weight of Jaoquin Phoenix's Joker.

While this Box Office number is not new for Farhan Akhtar considering his past few films have failed miserably at the Box Office, but the numbers of The Sky Is Pink are far lower than Priyanka Chopra's 2016 release Jai Gangaajal too. The Shonali Bose directorial was supposed to mark Priyanka Chopra's comeback in Bollywood after the actress stepped down from Salman Khan starrer Bharat.

The Sky Is Pink had poor opening of Rs. 2.50 crore. As per occupancy, the footfalls reduced towards evening in metro multiplexes, while the movie was supposedly made keeping that audience as target. Anyhow, The Sky Is Pink is expected to grow on Saturday, despite limited growth on day one.

Also starring Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraf in lead roles, Shonali Bose's directorial The Sky Is Pink had a solo release in theatres on October 11, 2019. The movie has been facing competition from WAR, Joker, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, and even Ayushmann Khurrana-Nushrat Bharucha's Dream Girl.
