When Chiranjeevi sought Jaya Bachchan's help to cast Amitabh Bachchan for 'Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy'
Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy was the biggest multi-starrer that released on Gandhi Jayanti this year. While majority of the cast included south superstars, Bollywood veteran Amitabh Bachchan was also seen the film. During an interview recently with Zoom TV, Chiranjeevi revealed how he was able to get Amitabh Bachchan on board for the epic action film.

The report revealed that Chiranjeevi was asked by the director Surender Reddy to talk to Mr. Bachchan. Before making anything final they wished to know whether Amitabh Bachchan was keen on doing the role of Narasimha Reddy's Guru. Chiranjeevi was nervous to call senior Bachchan directly and was unsure if the veteran actor would be interested in doing a five-day character. Instead, he reached out to Jaya Bachchan. Chiranjeevi is a member of the Rajya Sabha Parliament and met Jaya Bachchan through politics since she is also a member of the house. He then sought her permission to get in touch with Amitabh Bachchan. She asked him to contact him directly, and since he was hesitant, Jaya asked him to leave him a message and he will revert back.

He then went on to reveal that Mr. Bachchan accepted the character without asking any question, he said, "I said this is the five-days character, you have to accept and immediately without asking what type of character and all, he said I am doing it. He asked me, do you believe that I will be suitable to that character? I said yes sir, I can't imagine anyone other than you in it. Then he said I am doing it."

Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, after a mid-week release, has steady earning at the box office. The film sees Chiranjeevi in the titular role, Tamannaah Bhatia as the female lead, and Amitabh Bachchan was seen playing the role of his mentor Guru Gosayi Venkanna.
