Late on Wednesday night, the Cyedarabad (Madhapur, Hyderabad, Telengana) police found a highly decomposed body, reported IANS. The body, which was discovered in the land owned by Telugu actor Akkineni Nagarjuna, was identified on Friday, September 20, 2019. On Thursday, the police had filed a case of suspicious death under section 174 of the CrPC.

NDTV stated that a few farmers were sent by Nagarjuna to examine land on the farmhouse and suggest a suitable crop for cultivation. They however happened to notice a smell and discovered the body on Wednesday night. Upon learning that a body was lying in the farmhouse, they alerted the police, who then sent the body for autopsy.

The deceased was identified as 30-year-old Chakali Pandu, who had committed suicide in 2016. As per reports on Hindustan Times, Deputy Commissioner of Police Prakash Reddy found an Aadhar card and photograph in a purse recovered near the body. Pandu was a native of Papireddyguda village, who committed suicide within the premises of the farmland, which is spread over 50 acres and resides close to Kashmet Police station. Unused for a long time, Nagarjuna and his family members, according to NDTV, visited the farmhouse which they purchased a year back, recently, to plant a few saplings. “Nagarjuna had purchased the land but he didn’t use it. His wife Akkineni Amala had visited the plot, in the first week of September,” said the police, as reported by India.com.

Pandu's family members had not lodged a missing complaint. They however received a suicide note from Pandu back in 2016. The police got their hands on the suicide note, where Chakali did not blame anyone for his death and he took the step because none of his dreams came true. Pandu further detailed that he doesn't want to get married and have children. According to the letter, he also wished Rs. 19 lakhs which he received for his property be transferred to his mother.

The police is waiting for frensic reports to understand how did Pandu commit suicide.
