'Batla House' Box Office report: John Abraham-Mrunal Thakur's film is a hit, crosses Rs 90-crore mark in 2nd week
Batla House, strarring John Abraham and Mrunal Thakur in lead roles, released in theatres on Independence Day 2019. The movie, much like John's 2018 release Satyameva Jayate, released alongside Akshay Kumar starrer. In 2019, Batla House released alongside Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha, Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari and Sharman Joshi starrer Mission Mangal.

John Abraham's Batla House might not have garnered as much attention as Satyameva Jayate did alongside Gold, but the movie has caught pace in its second week. The film, in fact now have crossed Rs. 90-crore mark and has been declared a hit.

After minting Rs. 1.5 crore on Wednesday, Batla House has collected Rs. 1.72 crore on third Thursday. The total collections for two weeks i.e. 15 days thus now is Rs. 91.76 crores. The drop is 60% but that is negligible since the film has worked in major centres.

Batla House received a major boost on Janmashtami, and clash with Akshay Kumar starrer helped the film to a huge extent. The second week collections of the movie in fact are the 10th best, following the collections of movies like Bharat and Gully Boy.

Batla House, directed by Nikkhil Advani, is based on the real life encounter case which took place in Delhi's Batla House on September 19, 2008. The movie also features Dilbar famed Nora Fatehi.
