Had huge effect on me: Vicky Kaushal opens up about being accused of using drugs at Karan Johar's party
Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal was recently accused of taking drugs at Karan Johar's party. The actor, now, while talking to Pinkvilla about the whole experience of being accused, mentioned that it had a huge effect on him and the assumptions were not fair.

Vicky Kaushal spoke about the party hosted by Karan Johar and also mentioned that he left to shoot for NDTV show Jai Jawaan, due to which he was unaware about what really happened. By the time he saw how the internet went abuzz over an assumption that he had a brush with drugs, Vicky was left flabbergasted.

Talking about his experience to the portal, the actor said, "I was with the army for the next four days in the hills where there is no network. So, I have no clue of what's going on I returned and checked Twitter and I was like 'Hain ji?' 'What?'. FIR...open letter... ye woh. Of course, it had a huge effect on me. It is not nice to be called those names by people."

"What I understand is that people who don't know you personally see something and make an assumption... that's completely fine. We all do that. But factualising assumptions... It's a big leap to take and that's not fair all the time," Vicky Kaushal added.

Karan Johar had also recently clarified that his mother was part of the gathering five minutes before the video was being recorded. Confirming the statement, Vicky went on record to state, "We all knew the video was being taken and five minutes before the video was shot Karan's mom was with us. The video was put up."

Apart from Vicky Kaushal, Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Malaika Arora, Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Zoya Akhtar, Ayan Mukerji, Mira Rajput, Shakun Batra and others were recorded at the gathering. On the work front, Vicky, who won a National Award for his performance in Uri: The Surgical Strike, which released earlier this year, was last seen in the music video Pachtaoge with Nora Fatehi. He will appear in Shoojit Sircar's Sardar Udham Singh and Bhoot - Part One: The Haunted Ship soon.
