'Batla House' Box Office: John Abraham's film inches close to Rs 60 crore on day 6
John Abraham-Mrunal Thakur starrer Batla House has managed to compete with the much-spoken about Mission Mangal starring Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha, Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari and Sharman Joshi in pivotal roles. Both the movies released on Independence Day i.e. on August 15, 2019.

While Mission Mangal went on to cross Rs. 100 crore mark, John Abaraham starrer too managed to mint Rs. 50 crore within five days of its release. The movie, in fact is inching closer to Rs. 60 crore mark on its day 6. After collections of Rs. 5.05 crore on its first Monday, Batla House, staying steady, has managed to mint Rs. 4.78 crore on its first Tuesday.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#BatlaHouse is steady on weekdays... With no major opposition next week [till #Saaho], should continue to collect well... 15.55 cr, Fri 8.84 cr, Sat 10.90 cr, Sun 12.70 cr, Mon 5.05 cr, Tue 4.78 cr. Total: 57.82 cr. India biz."

Batla House, directed by Nikkhil Advani, is based on the real life encounter case which took place in Delhi's Batla House on September 19, 2008. The movie also features Dilbar famed Nora Fatehi in a cameo appearance, including O Saki Saki recreation.
