'Mission Mangal' Box Office Report Day 4: Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan's film has a phenomenal extended weekend
Jagan Shakti's directorial debut Mission Mangal is unstoppable at the box office. The film minted Rs 28.50 crore on its opening day and it was a national holiday release. The film did better than Akshay Kumar's Gold which released on Independence Day last year. Mission Mangal had received 50-55% occupancy during morning shows on Friday which hinted at the film doing phenomenal business at the domestic market. Mission Mangal stars Akshay, Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Nithya Menen, Kirti Kulhari, Sharman Joshi, H. G. Dattatreya, Vikram Gokhale and Sonakshi Sinha in the leading roles.

Now as per reports in Box Office India, the film minted Rs 27.50 crore approx on its first Sunday. The total five-day collections until now are Rs 96.50 crore approx. By the fifth day of its release, Mission Mangal will hit Rs 100 crore club and even if it witnesses a drop on Monday, the film will still be declared a hit.

While trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#MissionMangal sets the BO on... Springs a biggg surprise... Packs a fabulous total in its *extended* weekend... Metros superb, mass circuits join the party [on Sun]... Thu 29.16 cr, Fri 17.28 cr, Sat 23.58 cr, Sun 27.54 cr. Total: ? 97.56 cr. India biz."

Mission Mangal clashed with John Abraham starrer Batla House on Independence Day.
