'Article 15' early Box Office: Ayushmann Khurrana starrer expected to open better than 'AndhaDhun'
June 28 (AZINS) Kabir Singh's magic might have spread over the Box Office, but the movie now faces competition since Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Article 15 released in theatres on Friday, June 28. The movie focuses on Article 15 of the Indian Constitution, which prohibits discrimination on basis of religion, race, caste, sex and place of birth, among many other factors.

Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Article 15 might not have opened to buzz like Shahid Kapoor-Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh, but the movie is expected to perform better than his previous hit AndhaDhun. According to a report on Box Office India, the Ayushmann Khurrana starrer has opened to 10-15% collections.

The report further states that the movie could earn around or more than Rs. 3.50 crore on its first day. The weekend however would prove to be vital for the movie. Made on a smaller budget, Ayushmann Khurrana starrer might pick up pace with good word-of-mouth, which is a usual with such kind of movies.

Apart from Kabir Singh, Article 15 also faces competition from the Hollywood blockbuster franchise Annabelle. The film Annabelle Comes Home released on Thursday and has already minted Rs. 3 crore. Directed by Anubhav Sinha, Article 15 sees Ayushmann Khurrana play a cop for the first time.
