WhatsApp tests UI improvements for group calls, video preview in push notification in iOS beta updateNov 25 (AZINS) WhatsApp appears to be rolling out some UI improvements and new features for group calls for iOS in beta. As reported by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp’s new 2.18.102.5 version of iOS beta brings new UI improvements for Group calls. It also includes a new way of viewing videos directly in the push notification for iPhone users.

WhatsApp has submitted a new iOS beta update through TestFlight program. The Facebook-owned messaging platform recently opened up its iOS beta program for public. Earlier, WhatsApp didn’t allow everyone to participate in the beta testing as it was limited to a select few.

The latest iOS beta is said to be available soon for App Store users. The improvements are reported to bring a new Group call button in your group chats. On tapping this button, WhatsApp will preview a list of all possible participants you would possibly like to start a call with.

The report notes that these changes are not available for WhatsApp Android yet, but will come in future. WhatsApp has fixed some issues in downloading Stickers Packs and sending Stickers. The issue of GIFs stop playing unexpectedly has also been fixed in beta update.

If you want to use the latest public beta on your iPhone, you will first need to download TestFlight from the App Store, and then request a slot for beta tester. Once you’ve followed the process and accepted invite, it will be added in the apps list, and you can start testing WhatsApp beta for iOS.
