MS Dhoni makes himself 'unavailable' for India's West Indies tour

July 20 (AZINS) Former 'Men In Blue' skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni made himself "unavailable" for Team India's tour of Windies as speculations raged about his future.

MSD, who is also a Lieutenant Colonel in the Parachute Regiment of the Territorial Army, will be spending most part of the next 2 months with his regiment according to reports.

A top BCCI official confirmed the development to PTI.

"Dhoni has made himself unavailable for the tour of West Indies as he will be spending two months with his paramilitary regiment," the official said.

The 38-year-old wicket-keeper has already conveyed his decision to The Board of Control for Cricket in India just before the selection committee's meeting on Sunday which already got postponed once this week.

With no MSD for the tour, India's World Cup 2019 late addition Rishabh Pant is expected to be named as the first-choice? wicketkeeper for the three formats, with Wriddhiman Saha being Pant's understudy in the Tests.
