The month of Purattasi is very auspicious for Lord Venkateswara. The Lord as Nitya Kalyana Murti bestows prosperity to the world (Loka Kshema) when Srivari Kalyana Utsavam is performed in the month of Purattasi. the festivities will take place as it is performed in Tirumala. Following the Kalyana Utsavam, Garuda Seva will be performed when the Lord and His consorts are taken on a procession on the Garuda Vahana. As twilight sets in, the sanctum of Lord Venkateswara will be bedecked with 1008 oil lamps to the accompaniment of music and vedic chants. Don't miss this beautiful event on September 21st (Saturday).
