Watch: Harrison Ford surprises his fans in a new Star Wars fundraising campaignMumbai, Nov 20(AZINS) Han Solo never needed The Force to save the day, and even in real life veteran Star Wars actor Harrison Ford clearly needs little more than his recognizable presence to radiate shock and awe. The legendary actor recently surprised his fans by bombing into the frame during a generic Skype call, and many of the reactions were expectedly priceless.

This 'prank' was aimed at fans had previously donated to the “Star Wars: Force for Change” charity fundraising campaign that was first launched last year, seeking donations for charities with an exclusive chance to appear in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. They were invited for a video call for an interactive chat with the campaign organizers at Omaze--the company involved in enabling a Star Wars experience including the chance to attend the premiere. As part of the gag, as they named their favourite Star Wars character they were greeted by the sight of Harrison walking into the frame.

“A year and a half ago, we launched a brand new initiative called Star Wars: Force for Change that aims to inspire all of us to make a positive difference in the world," said Star Wars director J.J. Abrams in a press statement.

The outburst of reactions captured in the video attached below is undeniably delightful. These would be used to garner support for another fundraising campaign giving out a grand prize package. Depending on the donation, participants stand to receive exciting gifts ranging from posters to shirts to awesome paraphernalia from across all seven movies. Most importantly, with each donation is the chance to be the one lucky winners flown to the Star Wars: The Force Awakens premiere, with the chance to also meet the cast.

Funds raised will be distributed evenly among 15 charities nominated by the cast and crew, including Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Malala Fund, Feeding America, UNICEF and the Union of Concerned Scientists.

Watch below how fans react when Harrison Ford walks into the screen during a Skype call. The movie, directed by J.J. Abrams, is set to hit the screens in India on 25th December, 2015. Stay on target, Jedi!
