'Situation calls for me to be understanding, help them in my best capacity': Amrita Rao forgoes rent of her tenants
Amrita Rao who has given her house to tenants have decided to forgo the rent from March to July, due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis across the nation. She confirmed the report during an interaction with IANS and revealed that most of her tenants are freelancers and have no guaranteed monthly incomes. Amrita further stated that she had to handle the situation and become more understanding of the rent-payers.

Amrita told the media agency, "Some of my tenants are in freelance professions like acting and cinematography. Such professions have no guaranteed monthly income. The pandemic is a dire situation for all and they decided to be safer with their families back home. I feel the situation calls for me to be understanding and help them in my best capacity."

She further added, "Those tenants who have been occupying flats and have not lost their jobs should not use the lockdown as a mere pretext to skip paying dues and harass the landlords unnecessarily, which is also a growing menace during the lockdown."

Meanwhile, on the work front, Amrita was last seen in Thackeray in which Nawazuddin Siddiqui played the titular role. She was seen as his onscreen wife Meena Tai Thackeray. The actor was seen on the big screen after six years.  Amid that, she made her television debut with Meri Awaaz Hi Pehchaan Hai in the year 2016. 

Talking about her personal life, Amrita completed four years of marital bliss with husband and radio jockey RJ Anmol on May 15.
