Irrfan Khan and Radhika Madan starrer Angrezi Medium has been extensively shot in Rajasthan as well as London. During the London sequence, the team was joined by Kareena Kapoor Khan, who plays the role of a cop in the film. But amidst that, the Angrezi Medium team witnessed a surprise visit by a Bollywood actor. Yes, we are talking about Deepika Padukone, who met up with the team in London while they were shooting for the film.

Recalling the same, Angrezi Medium director Homi Adajania said in a statement, "It was a fabulous surprise. I had no clue that Deepika was in London and she appeared on the set in the middle of a shot. We hadn’t met for a while, but with us, it doesn’t matter how much time goes by. We just pick up where we last left off."

The filmmaker went on to say, "I’m so used to us being on a set together that bizarrely when I saw her chilling in the corner, I momentarily forgot that she wasn’t part of our film!"

For the uninitiated, Homi has directed Deepika in two movies namely Cocktail released in 2012 and then in Finding Fanny which hit the screens in 2014.

Meanwhile, talking about Angrezi Medium, the film is produced by Dinesh Vijan under his home banner Maddock Films. Apart from Irrfan, Kareena and Radhika, the film also stars Deepak Dobriyal, Dimple Kapadia, Ranvir Shorey, Pankaj Tripathi and Kiku Sharda in pivotal roles. It's a sequel to Hindi Medium which released in 2017.
