June 25 (AZINS) While Shah Rukh Khan is known to be the kinf of romance, one of the earliest movies that was instrumental in establishing him as the poster boy for romantic films is Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa. The Kundan Shah directorial, is not only a favourite of the actor's fans, but Shah Rukh Khan himself has admitted in several of his interviews that it remains his most favourite film and the character of Sunil - his most favourite one till date. 

Now, here's some good news for all the fans of Shah Rukh Khan and those of the film as well. If recent reports are to be believed, then Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa is all set to get a remake. A report on Pinkvilla quoted a source as saying,"Shah Rukh Khan holds exclusive rights to Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa and in the last few months, several filmmakers have approached the production house to buy the rights. A lot of them want to remake the cult classic."

The report further quoter another informer, "SRK and his team might make Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa again for the web. There are also talks about making a digital series on the same plotline as the movie. A popular OTT platform has also shown keen interest in the same. Shah Rukh won't star in it and it's expected to have a younger cast."

While the fans are excited about the remake already, nothing has been made official from SRK's team yet. The report quoted a source close to the developments as saying, "Although discussions are on, nothing has been locked right now. The production house is still contemplating what to do but they are also interested in exploring the space for sure." 

While it's still not clear as to when and with whom will the remake of Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa go on floors, it has surely got the fans excited. Shah Rukh's production house Red Chillies Entertainment is already producing two web series we won't be surprised if Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa becomes the third one. Fingers crossed!
