'Kesari' Box Office Collection: Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra's film crosses Rs 50 crore markMar 24 (AZINS) Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra starrer Kesari is 2019's Holi release. The film from day one has been making an impression on the movie lovers owing to its terrific subject and amazing star cast. Akshay's look as Havildar Ishar Singh astonished the audience and they have been raving about his incredible performance in the film as well. The film is based on the historic Battle of Saragarhi fought between 21 Sikhs and 10,000 invaders in the year 1897.

Kesari went on to become the biggest opener of 2019 until now by making a business of Rs 21.50 crore at the domestic market. On Friday (Day 2), the film minted Rs 16.70 crore. In three days of its release, Kesari has crossed Rs 50-crore mark by making Rs 18.75 crore. The total collection of Akshay's film until now is Rs 56.51 crore. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#Kesari shows an upward trend on Day 3 [Sat]... Metros pick up, mass circuits good... Big Day 4 [Sun] on the cards... Eyes ? 80 cr [+/-] *extended* weekend... Thu 21.06 cr, Fri 16.70 cr, Sat 18.75 cr. Total: ? 56.51 cr. India biz."

We have to wait and watch to see if Kesari passes Monday's litmus test or not!

Kesari is directed by Anurag Singh and co-produced by Karan Johar under his home banner Dharma Productions. This is the first outing of Akshay and Parineeti, wherein she plays his onscreen wife.
