Janhvi Kapoor lashes out at Pakistani daily for calling Pulwama attack ‘fight for freedom’Feb 17 (AZINS) The Pulwama terrorist attack has deeply hurt India. 40 soldiers became martyrs due to the attack, but a Pakistani daily reported the attack as a ‘fight for freedom.’ Dhadak actress Janhvi Kapoor lashed out at the daily for the ‘propaganda article’. She shared a photo of the martyred soldiers on the border. Alongside the actress also posted the headline of the news article which was posted in a Pakistan daily.

She captioned the photos, "The reasons to be angered and hurt are plenty. The one that upsets me the most is that our men didn’t even get the chance to fight for themselves. The second photo is of a propagandist article that is celebrating this terrorist attack as a fight for freedom. It’s tragic and irresponsible that the truths of such a condemnable act are being distorted by the media to suit their political agendas. These men have been robbed of not just their lives but also the respect that they deserve as protectors of a nation. Let’s pray for the souls of our brave men and for the strength of their families."

Not just Janhvi, every individual from the B-Town has been doing their bit for the martyrs. Shraddha Kapoor and Varun Dhawan observed two-minute silence for the martyrs while shooting for Street Dancer 3D in London. Some others, including Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar, cancelled their events, and Kailash Kher too donated Rs. 10 lakhs to Deoria martyr’s wife.
