Sara Ali Khan visited Uttarakhand with director Abhishek Kapoor before the shoot of 'Kedarnath' commencedNov 24 (AZINS) Director Abhishek Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan did a one-week workshop before commencing the shoot of 'Kedarnath'. As the film is based in the temple town of Kedarnath the actress and the director wanted to get every aspect of it to be correct, for which they visited places like Kedarnath, Hrishikesh and even Haridwar.

During the week-long visit, Sara and Abhishek indulged into fun interactions with the locals to understand the dialect, the lifestyle of those localities. While shooting for the film, Sara Ali Khan knew about the place and landmarks more than the team as she had even done a lot of research before commencing the shoot.

The director speaks very highly of Sara and she also confessed to being a director's actor. She submitted herself to Abhishek's vision for her character in the film. Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, the film goes with the tagline 'Love is pilgrimage' and mainly revolves around the 14 kilometre-long journey from Gauri Kund to the Kedarnath shrine.

The trailer showcases the incredible chemistry of Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara, picturized against the picturesque locations of Uttarakhand. The blooming love story of a Pithoo and a pilgrim faces the wrath of the nature as the holy place drowns in flood, however, love rises above all.

Kedarnath marks the debut of Sara and also presents the second association of Abhishek Kapoor with Ronnie Screwvala and Sushant Singh Rajput after Kai Po Che. Kedarnath is directed is slated to release on 7th December 2018.
