Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 to launch today: Here's what you should knowOct 25 (AZINS) Xiaomi's flagship phone Mi MIX 3 will launch today in China. The first installment of Mi MIX series was introduced two years ago. With fully top, the phone allowed its screen to stretch to reach till top edge, the device became massive hit. Highly inspired from its predecessor, Mi MIX 2 and Mi MIX 2S continued with innovative design. However, users felt that the position of front camera could be different.

Now, with the much-awaited launch of Mi MIX 3 today, Mi fans expect that the company will take its innivation a notch higher. The initial leaks suggest that Mi MIX 3 won't lose all-screen look and will have its front camera setup placed on a manual slider.

And as teased by Xiaomi, the front will sport a dual-camera setup, with a 24-megapixel primary shooter.

Few weeks ago, Xiaomi co-founder and President Lin Bin was teasing Mi fans with images revealing the imminent Mi Mix 3 bit by bit; the latest post reveals 5G support. These aren't just any old teasers that Lin Bin has been casually posting on the Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo, these are key features -- a hidden camera that provides a notch-less and bezel-less screen, as well as the prospect of being one of the first 5G phones on the market.

Now it's been officially revealed that the Mi Mix 3 will feature 5G support. The same image posted by Lin Bin has also been tweeted by product management director Donovan Sung, showing the smartphone with ‘5G' written in the status bar. Furthermore, the background looks like a testing station. Sung noted that they've “successfully tested 5G data connections on Xiaomi phones, and ... can't wait for the official rollout of 5G next year!”

Besides, you would expect that the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 would run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, experts say that you might get a surprise there. The device could be the first to run on the successor to the Snapdragon 845, which is tentatively being called the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8150.

The device could come with 10GB RAM on its top-end variant, along with up to 512GB of storage.

The signature feature of the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 will be its screen. The phone might sport a 6.4-inch full-HD+ screen with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio.

Xiaomi might bring Mi MIX 3 to India in November. Xiaomi could price the phone at under Rs 40,000 for the base variant, initial reports suggest. The higher variants could see the price go closer to Rs 50,000
