Meet daily wage laborer who earned Rs 600 per day, cracked NEET 2022 without coaching with score…

While the medical examination National Eligibility cum Entrance (NEET) is considered to be one of the toughest entrance exams in the country, one daily-age labourer ended up cracking the examination despite multiple hardships, set to become a doctor.

Umer Ahmad Ganie was just 19 years old when he appeared for the NEET 2022 examination, and he broke his family’s cycle of poverty by being on course to become the first doctor in his family. However, his journey to success was not so easy.

Ganie lives in Kashmir’s Pulwama area in a small village and works as a daily wage labourer and painter in his locality. He was finishing a job as a painter in his village when he got the news that he had cleared the NEET exam, with his entire family elated.

Battling poverty ever since he was born, Umaid started working as a daily wage labourer in his small Pulwama village at a young age. He had started working at the age of 16 with his brother, in an effort to support his father in making a living for the family.

When his father got ill, Umer started working full-time as a labourer. He used to go to school till 2 pm and then work as a daily wage labourer till 7-8 pm every day. However, he never let go of his dream to pursue higher studies and become a doctor.

Umer Ahmad Ganie used to earn Rs 600 daily, which was the only income of their entire family. After coming home at 8 pm every day, Umer used to pick up his books and study till 3 am every day, just to wake up at 6 am for school.

Finally getting the reward for his hard work, Umer ended up cracking the NEET 2022 examination with an exceptional score of 601 out of 720, set to bag a prestigious government college with this score.
