Pooja Gor plays the honest, loving, caring wife of Dulquer Salmaan's Arjun, Madhu Verma. With Guns and Gulaabs, the actress has given another success on the digital platform. Before OTT, Pooja had done some brilliant work in television, but she never wanted to be an actress. Let's trace the journey of Pooja Gor.

Accidental actor Pooja Gor

Born and brought up in Ahmedabad, Pooja did her schooling and college in her hometown. Initially, Pooja never wanted to become an actress. But during her college, she won in an Inter-college, Inter-state and National competition of Mr. and Miss University. She posted some pictures of it on her Facebook.

After a few days of posting the photos, Pooja received a message from Balaji Telefilms who were looking for a new face for their show, Kitini Mohabbat Hai. At first, she didn't respond, but they approached her again. Pooja was having trust issues, so she gave her father's number. The team reached out to him, sent her the script, and then she sent her audition video from Ahmedabad. In the second round of auditions, she was called to Mumbai. She came to the city with her father, gave her an audition, and she got selected for the role of Purvi Sharma.

Pooja proudly calls her 'accidental actor', as she never thought about acting, and right from her childhood, she had a dream of having a high-profile job or working as a bank manager in a private bank.

Did Pooja give up studies for acting?

Pooja's performance as Purvi earned praise from the masses. Her role in Kitni Mohabbat Hai became popular, and while Pooja was shooting for this show, she was offered the titular role of Pratigya in Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya. Pooja's performance as Pratigya helped her career and was super-successful on television.

With Kitni Mohabbat and Pratigya, Pooja used to shoot for more than 20 hours a day, and she was hardly getting any time to study. Thus, Pooja decided to leave her studies and left the college in her SY.BCom.

Pooja Gor wants to complete her studies

Pooja still wants to study, and want to attain a degree or certificate course in her field. Pooja has an interest in editing and she would like to learn professional editing in a school. Pooja's other notable works include the series Yeh Hai Aashiqui, Ek Thhi Naayka, and The Verdict - State vs Nanavati. Pooja has hosted Savdhaan India, and participated in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 5. Pooja made her big screen debut with Kedarnath.
