Former Team India skipper MS Dhoni is currently spending his time away from the national side.

Ever since India's semi-final exit from the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 against New Zealand in August, MSD made himself unavailable for selection. During his break from cricket, the 38-year-old also served for the Indian Army too.

After being absent from the Indian squad which took on West Indies and South Africa in the past months, Dhoni also backed out from the series against Bangladesh and West Indies as well.

The veteran wicketkeeper-batsman is still the only captain to lead his side to all three ICC trophies in the history of the sport.

Former Indian seam bowler Joginder Sharma, who bowled the famous last over for the 'Men In Blue' in the 2007 World Twenty20 final, has now expressed his thoughts regarding the ex-India captain.

The cricketer-turned-DSP with Haryana Police claimed that Dhoni will once again be back in the national team before calling time on his lustrous career.

He also added how the 38-year-old still has few more milestones to achieve and lauded him for being a strong person, both mentally and physically.

"Dhoni is very strong, both physically and mentally. There must be a lot of reasons behind the decision (to not play after the 2019 World Cup) he has taken. He has a family, a personal life, maybe he is preparing himself in a different way," Joginder claimed.

"We had even lost to Bangladesh. So all the senior players took rest (opted out of T20s). It was almost a new team led by MS Dhoni as captain for the first time. There were a few senior players, the rest were all youngsters."

"Nobody expected us to make it to the knockouts of the World T20. But we were being led by someone who went on to become one of the best captains in the game...the result was that we won the trophy," he added.
