Watch: Angry Mumbaikars thrash BMC worker in Kandivali for his social media posts

July 4 (AZINS) As people in Mumbai continue to suffer from flooded and waterlogged streets due to incessant rains, a BMC worker was thrashed by angry locals in Kandivali area after rainwater entered their building's parking.

The incident took place in Kandivali's Ganesh Nagar area in Pooja building where people were caught on camera thrashing the BMC worker. Residents of the building were angry because the BMC worker was claiming on the social that the department has completed all of its work of evacuating the rainwater.

However, residents claim that the BMC worker did not get the water evacuation pump when 60-70 cars were stuck in the building's parking, causing problem to them. The incident happened around 2 days ago.

Residents also claimed that the BMC worker, who was thrashed, was spreading the message on social media that people were happy with BMC's work. It was after knowing this, people got angry and thrashed him.

In another shocking incident which took place earlier in that day, Congress MLA Nitesh Narayan Rane along with other workers were seen throwing mud on an engineer at a bride near the Mumbai-Goa highway in Kankavali.

The incident reportedly happened when they were inspecting potholes on the highway. They later tied him to the bridge over a river. The video of the incident has also gone viral.

The Congress leader was also head saying, “Throw it on him, throw it on his head. Now you will understand. What should People do, should they die in front of you? What will happen if the wall collapses?”

Cong MLA Nitesh Rane is former Maharashtra CM Narayan Rane’s son. This is not Nitesh Rane’s first rodeo. In 2017, he had thrown a fish at a senior government officer in Mumbai.
