'The finisher is back': Twitter hails 'timeless' MS Dhoni as India beat Australia in 2nd ODI

Jan 15 (AZINS) MS Dhoni was back in his familiar role of the finisher as India beat Australia in the second ODI by 6 wickets to keep their chances alive in the 3-match series.

Virat Kohli was the star for India with his 39th century. Dhoni and Dinesh Karthik took India home in final over with Dhoni hitting another half-century, his second in two matches.

Dhoni (55 not out) had played within himself as he kept Kohli company in a partnership of 82 but hit a six for his first boundary soon after his captain departed and added 57 with Dinesh Karthik (25 not out) to get the tourists over the line.

Dhoni hit a century in the final over as India needed 7 runs to win reminding fans of his prime.

Earlier, Shaun Marsh smashed his seventh hundred before Bhuvneshwar Kumar produced a brilliant spell in the death overs to limit Australia to 298-9.
