Jack Dorsey thanks Modi for Twitter ideas, PM says he enjoys being on the medium

Nov 13 (AZINS) Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey on Tuesday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and thanked him for the ideas for the micro-blogging site.

"Thank you Prime Minister @narendramodi for having us today. I enjoyed our conversation about the importance of global conversation. Also: thanks for the ideas for Twitter!," said Dorsey in a tweet.

Dorsey also put out his pictures with Prime Minister Modi on his account on the microblogging site.

Replying to Dorsey's tweet, Modi said that he was delighted to meet him. "Happy to see the passion with which you’re leading @Twitter," Modi said.

The Prime Minister also said that he enjoys being on this medium (Twitter), where he has made great friends and see everyday the creativity of people.

On Monday, Dorsey vowed to check the spread of fake news but said there is no 'one fix' solution for the 'multi-variable' problem.

Earlier, he also met Congress president Rahul Gandhi Monday. "Twitter has grown into the most dominant 'conversations' platform globally. Jack explained some of the steps being taken to keep those conversations healthy and to tackle the menace of fake news," Gandhi tweeted.

Twitter -- which counts India among its priority markets -- has a large number of politicians in the country on its platform, who engage with residents and extensively use it around elections.
