Ekadasi is the eleventh day of the Lunar month and is considered very auspicious for Lord Maha Vishnu. Of all the Ekadasis in the year, Vaikuntha Ekadasi is considered the most auspicious as it is the one when anyone seeking moksha receives Lord Maha Vishnu's complete grace. Devotees observe a strict fast and absrain from speaking on this day and focus all their energy in meditation of Lord Maha Vishnu. It is customary for devotees to take darshan of the Lord in the Swarga Vaasal (the doors of heaven).
