LMGA Awards:'Wild','Grand Budapest Hotel' win bigLos Angeles, March 8 (AZINS) Actress Reese Witherspoon-starrer “Wild” won the top honour for Outstanding Locations in a Contemporary Film and “The Grand Budapest Hotel” was bestowed the trophy for Outstanding Locations in a Period Film at the second Location Managers Guild of America (LMGA) awards.

The show took place at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills Saturday, reports variety.com.

The biographical drama film, “Wild”, was shot mostly in Oregon and along parts of the Pacific Crest Trail, with Nancy Haecker as location manager.

“The Grand Budapest Hotel” achieved its authentic look by filming in Germany and Poland. Location manager Klaus Darrelmann took the prize.

Among the television categories, “True Detective” was awarded for contemporary series and “Boardwalk Empire” won for period series.

Other winners included Coca-Cola spot “America is Beautiful” for Outstanding Locations in a Single Commercial (Jimmy Ayoub, Cyndy McCrossen, Peter Orth, Stephen Pherigo), and "Ram Trucks" for Outstanding Locations in a Commercial Campaign (David McKinney and Peter Orth).

The City of Long Beach Office of Special Events and Filming won the prize for Outstanding Film Commission.

LMGA was started last year to recognise the creative contributions of location professionals in seven categories of film, television and commercials.

Actress Alfre Woodard presented the Humanitarian Award to producer Caroline Baron, founder of NGO FilmAid International.

Actors Debbie Allen and Ted Lange handed out the Lifetime Achievement Award to veteran location manager Kokayi Ampah, who has collaborated with directors like Clint Eastwood and Steven Spielberg.
