'Victim of nepotism' Saif Ali Khan once said he benefited from it 'for sure'
Saif Ali Khan has been making headlines after calling himself a 'victim of nepotism' in a recent interaction. However, there was a time, not very long back, when the Nawab of Pataudi accepted that he has 'benefited from nepotism 'for sure'.

In an interview with PTI, published on June 22, 2020, the actor had said, “Nepotism is a horrible thing. I am totally against nepotism. I have benefited from it for sure. Definitely, we have more opportunities than people who are not connected to movies.”

Saif Ali Khan has often been dragged into the topic of nepotism. When the word first came into being after Kangana Ranaut accused Karan Johar of promoting 'nepotism', Saif was on 'Koffee With Karan' to promote his movie 'Rangoon', thinking out loud why is he on the show.

The actor later declared 'Nepotism rocks' in 2017, just a few days into the 'Koffee With Karan' incident. Saif, Karan and Varun had worked on a segment called 'Nepotism rocks' for an awards show. In an open letter, Saif had to clarify, “It’s not something that I wrote or something I believe in. It was a joke on ourselves, between Varun (Dhawan), Karan (Johar) and me. It was not supposed to be a big deal, but I realised at some point, that it might have offended Kangana (Ranaut). I called her and apologised personally. That should be the end of it. Everybody needs to take a chill pill and back off.”

Saif Ali Khan also spoke about Karan Johar being targetted on nepotism yet again after Sushant Singh Rajput's demise. The actor said KJo has 'made himself a large symbol and is attracting a lot of flak for it', adding that 'the truth is always complicated'.
