Ajay Devgn is on a movie signing spree. Now after the success of Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, the actor has kickstarted to shoot for his part in SS Rajamouli's RRR alongside Jr NTR and Ram Charan. Ajay also has a special appearance in Rohit Shetty's Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar in the titular role. The 50-year-old actor has been also shooting for Bhuj: The Pride of India and Maidan.

Now as per reports in Mid Day, Ajay has signed a social comedy film by Indra Kumar co-starring Sidharth Malhotra. Devgn had earlier collaborated with Kumar in 2019's hit Total Dhamaal. Talking about the comedy click, a source told the tabloid, "The filmmaker had narrated three scripts to Ajay. Since he has done a spate of serious movies including biopics, actioners and historical dramas, the actor was looking for a light-hearted comedy. Ajay zeroed in on this script as he liked the larger point the story tried to make while eliciting laughs."

The source further said, "The film is along the lines of the Munna Bhai series as it revolves around two bumbling do-gooders with hearts of gold, who are out to reform society. It has been Indra Kumar's passion project; he had been scripting it for years. He is thrilled that the story will finally be translated on screen."

The film is likely to go on floors in May this year and Rakul Preet Singh has been roped in to play the female lead. Ajay and Sidharth will be working for the first time together.
