Is Tiger Shroff-Ananya Panday-Tara Sutaria's 'Student Of The Year 2' Aamir Khan's 'Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar' rip-off?May 10 (AZINS) Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday, Tara Sutaria and Aditya Seal starrer Student Of The Year 2 released in theatres today. The movie is in buzz because of its reviews. However there is another reason why the movie deserves to be in news.

Student Of The Year 2 has been compared to Aamir Khan, Pooja Bedi, Ayesha Jhulka and Deepak Tijori starrer Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar. The comparisons stated being made based on the similar graph of characteristics in the lead characters in both the films. Interestingly Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar also had sports events, which form one of the core elements in Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria's Student Of The Year 2.

A source told Subhash K Jha, “Student Of The Year 2 is formatted exactly like the other film. Tiger Shroff plays Aamir Khan’s underdog character who must win the sports event from the privileged elitist students. Aditya Seal is like Deepak Tijori, the rich spoilt brat. Ananya Pandey is the entitled campus hottie, a la Pooja Bedi. Tara Sutaria is cast as the working-class outsider who must slog to prove herself.”

According to the critic, a film insider pointed out the similarities. The critic believes that Dharma Productions have gone the safe, tried-and-tested way after the debacle of Karan Johar's dream project Kalank. Student Of The Year was Karan Johar's baby. He introduced three talents to the world of Bollywood - Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra - through his directorial which became a surprise hit back in 2012.
