Kareena Kapoor Khan set to play female cop in Irrfan Khan's 'English Medium'?Mar 30 (AZINS) Ever since Irrfan Khan is back in town, rumours revolving around Hindi Medium 2 have been rife. The actor was a vital part of Dinesh Vijan's produced film Hindi Medium. In fact the movie was such a surprise hit that the makers announced a sequel to the film then itself.

A recent report suggested that the movie's title however might not remain Hindi Medium 2. It is being believed that since the new subject focuses on the issue prevailing in English Medium schools as well, this time the movie name might be English Medium. A report on Mid-Day further states that Kareena Kapoor Khan might star with Irrfan Khan in the film. More so, this report goes on to claim that she would turn a female cop for the first time with this film which will be helmed by Cocktail director Homi Adajania.

A source told the publication, “While the film kicks off in April, Kareena will join the unit only by May-end during the London schedule. She will be seen as a cop in the satire. While she loved the script, Kareena was just as excited to play a police officer for the first time in her 19-year-long career. She intends to wrap up the sequel by November, in time to begin shooting for Karan Johar's period drama Takht.”

The film would be Irrfan Khan's first film post his sabbatical in Bollywood. The actor, last seen in the movie Blackmail, was diagnosed with a rare disease called Neuroendocrine Tumor in March last year and had been receiving treatment for the same. The actor has not made a public appearance despite being spotted in Mumbai.
