Since both the families know about and approve their relationship, which is the first time for both Alia and Ranbir, hearing the wedding bells was the sensible next step. Alia has however denied that at more than one occasion.

She was asked the same question when she was promoting her upcoming movie Gully Boy on a radio show. Alia said, “I think people should now take a break. We have had two beautiful weddings last year. I think we can chill now, watch movies, work in movies, and rest can be seen later.”

Ranbir’s ex-girlfriend Deepika Padukone got married to Ranveer Singh, who is Alia’s co-star in Gully Boy. Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas also got married last year. Alia and Ranbir made their relationship official when they posed together at Sonam Kapoor-Anand Ahuja’s wedding reception.

Alia had a long-time crush on Ranbir Kapoor, which she accepted after she was cast with the actor in Brahmastra. The speculations of them dating began after they spent time at the airport despite their recee being complete. Later after some time, Ranbir confirmed the relationship to a magazine, calling it ‘really new’.
